Fun in the sun!

Mum and dad were lucky with the weather for the last few weeks of their holiday, so we were able to make the most of being out and about.

And for their last night, a bbq at Mark and Emma's:

Silly face time!

So it has been lovely to spend so much time with mum and dad, and we are very lucky that both our parents will travel to the other side of the world to see us, but it's so sad to say goodbye.

Thank you so much mum and dad for celebrating Christmas and New Year with us - miss you both xxxx

Welcome 2012!!!

New Year's Eve was a hot one, so we had a bbq in the courtyard to say farewell to 2011.

My home-made banoffee pie!

We then headed into the city for the fireworks.  We found a great spot along the South Bank, near the Arts Centre where we were able to sit down for the wait, before the fireworks at midnight.

Unfortunately, once the fireworks were finished, it became clear that the top of the Arts Centre was on fire!  It was only a small fire, but with so many people (1/2 million) there to see the fireworks, getting a fire truck to the fire meant that getting to the train station was slow work!

On New Year's Day it was lovely to be able to go for a swim in the sea at Hampton Beach, and then go to an old haunt in Brighton, the Groove Train, for dinner.

Happy New Year!!! x

Boxing Day Cricket 2011

It's become a tradition to go to the Boxing Day Test at the MCG - so it was lovely this year to be able to go with mum and dad, to see Australia and India.

Mum and dad managed to get on the big screen - well with that hat.....

During the days between Christmas and New Year we took a couple of day trips - to Williamstown and Sorrento.

Sorrento has two beaches - a 'front-beach' on the bay, and a 'back-beach' that has bigger surf from the Bass Strait.

When we got back from Sorrento we went for a meal at one of our favourite restaurants in Hampton - Fazios.
