Another Happy New Year

This year, for New Year's Eve we had a bbq, watched the last sunset of the year from our roof terrace, and then went to Green Point, by the beach, to watch the city fireworks.

Last Few Days of 2013!

Boxing Day we went to the MCG for the Ashes Boxing Day Test.  We lost the Ashes, but it was still a great day.  I can't pretend that I know anything about cricket, but here are some photos!

Between Christmas and New Year we decided to spoil ourselves with a night at Werribee Mansion.  We checked in and headed straight to Shadowfax Winery for lunch. which is just on the border of the mansion grounds.

After lunch we did some wine tasting, and ended up purchasing a few of the wines that are made at the winery!

We walked through the beautiful gardens of the mansion…

And did a tour of the mansion, that had been decorated for Christmas.

In the evening, after a swim, we ate in the Joseph restaurant at the mansion.

 The next day, we checked out of the hotel and went to Werribee Open Range Zoo!

We went on a Safari open bus tour to see some of the African animals in open spaces:
